As an Instructional Production Specialist at the Dutton Institute within Penn State's College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, my work centers on making online course materials accessible to all learners. I audit and remediate content across a range of formats — including PowerPoint, Word, and PDF files as well as material hosted in Canvas and Drupal — using tools like Adobe Acrobat, Equidox, WAVE, and the Colour Contrast Analyzer to identify barriers and bring content into conformance with WCAG standards. This covers everything from alt text and heading structure to color contrast and link clarity. Beyond remediation, I support colleagues who work directly with faculty by helping develop accessibility guidelines and resources they can draw on, working toward a process where accessibility is built in from the start rather than addressed after the fact.

Outside of work, I'm a prospective physics graduate student with a deep interest in the frontier edges of the field. When I'm not studying or at my desk, you'll find me in the gym, grinding through a sudoku or the NYT puzzles, 3D Printing a random idea, or pursuing amateur rocketry — which is really just applied physics with a fuse.
