Heidi Sporre, M.A., M.Ed.
My involvement in distance education began with correspondence courses by mail at Penn State University. I've been setting up or maintaining websites for educational and non-profit organizations since the late 1990s using various content management systems. I've been working at the Dutton Institute part-time while my kids are growing up. I enjoy helping make online learning experiences become the best they can be for students, and in the process the best they can be for my colleagues. I'm responsible for quality assurance, helping add content and making sure the code is clean, adding math equations to web pages, creating graphics, and re-drawing graphics at a higher resolution. My coworkers at The Dutton Institute make up one of the best groups of people I’ve worked with. I have a special interest in artificial intelligence, accessibility, and helping non-traditional students excel.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, drawing, teaching martial arts, and spending time with the people I love.
