Matt Bugaj, M.Ed.

As an educator for over twenty years, I am truly enjoying the opportunity to work as part of the Dutton team to design learning for the EMS community. My master’s degree work focused on scaffolding learners in a variety of contexts, and I find that lens useful as I apply strategies for designing and assessing content for faculty and students. I love reflecting on the craft of teaching and learning—what works, what doesn’t, and why. Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to collaborate on a variety of committees that strengthen the University’s programs/units: the Commonwealth-wide Child Care Advisory Committee, initiated by President Barron; the Bennett Family Center Positive Behavioral Intervention Team; and the Green Teams at both Bennett and Dutton.

I enjoy reading maps and traveling through the natural world, listening to music, thinking about teaching and learning (especially patterns of behavior and habit), and spending time with the love of my life, my wife Kristen.
